About Us

Team Gear Up was established in 1995. Then 19 year old, Owner Jason (Jay) Scott Faulkner started designing T-Shirts and Business cards after graduating from Fillmore High School in 1991. Jay Scott Designs was started in 1992. Jay was an announcer for Supercross Motocross and worked at various tracks around Southern California. Jay decided to start a division of Jay Scott called Team Gear Up. Team Gear Up focused on the Motocross Industry for banners, T Shirts and Custom jersey with Names and Numbers. Team Gear Up then sponsored some Pro Riders and Supported many up and coming riders.  Jay Scott Designs continued to be the Graphic Design force behind Team Gear Up. 

In early 2000 Team Gear Up shifted gears. As I was blessed with girls, they where not into riding as much as I was. I have always had a passion for coaching. I started coaching girls recreation and travel softball and loved it. So we started designing spirit wear and sports uniforms. My passion for coaching comes from when I was in 3rd grade. I had a great baseball coach and mentor that I will never forget. (Please read the "Popcorn" story) I wanted to be that guy. It wasn't about making money as a business. It was about giving back. I want to be remembered as that coach that cared. I volunteered, I stayed after and worked with kids that wanted to learn. I figured ways that I could save these recreation organizations money on uniforms and pass the saving to the parent working two jobs so their kid can play a sport.
